Aida Emart paints Vivaldi´s Four Seasons

This two paintings are my interpretation of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons music. I painted this two pieces in acrylic on canvas. The concert that inspired me is described below.

The famous chamber orchestra gave a private concert for the British Chamber of Commerce in Mexico which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. Since 1921, the BCC has represented, promoted and helped to develop British trade interests in Mexico by serving the business community in activities related to trade and investment between the UK and Mexico. Congratulations!

Britten Sinfonia featured Norwegian violinist Henning Kraggerud who has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras such as the Oslo Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Verdi Orchestra Milano, Helsinki Philharmonic and the Melbourne Symphony, among others.

The concert was held in the Colegio de San Ildefonso, originally built in 1588. Today it is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Mexico City.

This painting´s title is Musical Rain ó LLuvia Musical.
The musicians,one playing the saxophone, the other playing the clarinet are covered with a musical mist if you like the metaphor.
This is a big painting that is in Display in a San Miguel Allende Gallery. Size 150x125cms on mixed medium on canvas.

I really feel that my musicians paintings have music within.
But are my paintings art? I´m I an artist? When I was studding in "La Esmeralda" The best fine arts school here in Mexico 20 years ago, one of my colleagues said to me: "It´s going to be difficult to know if you are an artist, but if you continue painting constantly , after 20 yeas, at least you are going to have enough paintings to know you are a painter".
Well 20 years have pass now and I have been painting, framing,un-framing,carrying,exhibiting,studying,learning,thinking,discussing and many other things with all the love and dedication I can.
And after thinking it carefully I have decided that I have been living as an artist for 20 years and that makes me one Eh!!!! Yupiiyy!!!!!! Congratulations for me
And I'm going to celebrated and make my own diploma.
